New Scopes of Cooperation for the Welfare of Individuals and Institutions
Tuesday, October 11, 2016, a UNICEF delegation organized a meeting with some Baalbeck-Hermel municipal members and CSO partners among which is the Lebanese Organization of Studies and Training (LOST) in LOST’s head quarter in Baalbeck. The meeting aimed at introducing UNICEF’s 2017-2020 Annual Work Plan (AWP) in different sectors and the potential scopes of cooperation with the local actors to achieve the best for the beneficiaries.
Berta Travieso, UNICEF coordinator in Zahle Office, discussed with the attendants the five sectors UNICEF has intervention plans in; Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Child Protection, Youth and Education, Health and Nutrition, and Social Inclusion. She presented the planned outputs and the indicators that are designed to measure the level of achievement pertaining to targeted beneficiaries and institutions, whose number was announced in the meeting.
Discussing the AWP at this moment is the best way to demonstrate UNICEF’s areas of interest and to elicit the local bodies’ potentials to best phase out plans that can support individuals and institutions to support both host communities and refugees.
