The Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST) held its by-annual meeting on Tuesday, 31st of July 2018 in Tammouz Hall in Baalbeck. Over 650 members attended the meeting including, but not limited to: the board, unit directors, program directors, branch directors, and field operatives.
As always, the meeting started with the national anthem playing which is something LOST has engraved in its traditions. After the anthem was over, Dr. Ramy Lakkis, founder and general manager of LOST welcomed the attendees. Dr. Ramy then started his speech by explaining the current state of the organization and how it should not allow people without a developmental vision stand in its way to achieve its mission. He then emphasized about LOST’s mission and vision, and the importance of empowering and engaging people in Lebanon to live in peace and dignity based on respect, protection, and fulfillment of Human Rights International conventions. In addition, Dr. Lakkis talked about LOST’s core values and how these values should always be the basis of any kind of work LOST does. These values are mutual respect, responsibility, transparency, rule of law, etc. Without these values, LOST is not be able to achieve its mission.
Dr. Lakkis ended the meeting with a summary of the achievements that LOST have done in the past six months and how proud he is of the staff, and also explained LOST’s projections for the next six months. To conclude, the floor was open for any questions and inquiries for Dr. Lakkis.
