The Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST), in cooperation with ACT for Lebanon launched intensive courses to women who are either married with children, in order to educate and help their children by passing on the knowledge attained from the courses, or have low-middle income, in order to enhance their ability at becoming employed and socially active in the community.
The overall goal of the program serves the purpose of empowering women in Baalbeck-Hermel, and forming effective women networks in 10 targeted areas, which are: Bedneyel, Chmestar, Brital, Baalbeck, Bouday, Deir El Ahmar, Ersal, Ein, Hermel, and Chaat by providing 200 women with 120 English sessions, 60 computer sessions, and 20 life skills sessions as a mean of women empowerment. These courses began on Monday, February 12th, 2018.
