“It’s the first time I feel powerful and free; I started to express my thoughts and opinions without restrictions,” said Fatima Horan, a participant in FORSA project implemented by LOST in partnership with PLAN International.
Fatima is a Syrian woman who lives in a refugee camp in Baalbeck. She started attending the trainings with her husband. After attending the first session, Fatima’s husband felt comfortable and he was fine letting her attend the rest of the trainings on her own to be her first time ever experiencing independency.

As a part of FORSA project, Fatima is one of 60 young women and men who are provided with basic entrepreneurship trainings to strengthen their knowledge and skills to set up a successful business.
FORSA is a youth-economic-empowerment approach that capacitates entrepreneurs and SMEs to enhance the social inclusion of vulnerable groups.
