The German Ambassador to Lebanon, HE Mr. Martin Huth, visited the BINA center for vocational training, which is being implemented by the Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST), and funded by the German state of Bavaria. Mr. Huth was welcomed by Dr. Ramy Lakkis, founder of LOST, along with the staff of BINA center and the trainees.
Mr. Huth toured the center’s five divisions: water & sanitation, health & elderly care, gastronomy, electricity & photovoltaic, and warehousing & logistics. His excellency conducted a dialogue with the students to obtain their views on the mechanisms of work in the center and proceeded to have his blood pressure taken at the healthcare division.
Moreover, Dr. Lakkis explained that “the Bina center is a training center that trains young men and women in vocational disciplines that enables them to enter the labor market through employment or through private institutions”. Dr. Lakkis added that “the number of participants who obtained jobs is about 55 graduates”.
To conclude, Mr. Huth had lunch with the students of the gastronomy division and encouraged BINA students to continue working hard to achieve their dreams.
