The Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST) organized a ceremony honoring the women who completed the project entitled, “Food Security for Vulnerable Families through Sheep Farming”, which was implemented in cooperation with Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) during a ceremony held at Tamouz Hall in Baalbeck. The ceremony was held in presence of the ambassador of Canada in Lebanon, HE Ms. Emmanuelle Lamoureux, minister of social affairs, represented by Mr. Walid Assaf, president of Baalbeck International Festivals Committee, Mrs. Nayla De Freige, and municipal and social members.
The goal of the three-year project was to create jobs and increase the income of needy families though livestock. Livestock were distributed to 76 families in Baalbeck-Hermel.
