Today, English has become a global language and it is a symbol of people’s aspirations for quality in education and participation in national and international life. The visible impact of this presence of English is that it is being demanded today by everyone, right from the initial stage of schooling.
The Vocational Training Development (VTD Pro) is a project implemented by the Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST), in cooperation with War Child Holland, and funded by NUFFIC, which aims to enhance Vocational Education in the area through teachers’ capacity building in both English and Skills. Also, this project aims to give Syrian and Lebanese youth more employment opportunities through improving their English language and life skills, which will help them in their daily lives and career.
Upon the insistence of the beneficiaries to repeat the experience, and to further improve and gain knowledge, especially after the fruitful success in cycle 1, the VTD Pro program was extended until the end of 2019.
During the extended period, the program will be implemented in the towns of Baalbeck, Rayak, Nabi Sheet, Ersal, Ein, Bedneyel, Deir El Ahmar, Chmestar, Britel, and Hermel.
