Friday, April 22, 2016, a working group with the “Future Together Now” project conducted a multi-episode activity entitled “Ein Got Talent” in Ein village. The youth-directed event, which is under the patronage of the Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST), creates a common artistic medium including Lebanese and Syrian talents in an endeavor to decrease the tension between them.
The first phase of the activity started with 12 participants who performed on stage and were evaluated by a group of adept judges including famous artists. After several rounds, three Syrian participants were ranked as the top performers.
The young talents in the tournament were able to entertain the 80 attendants and impress them by their extraordinary performance. It was a chance for the Lebanese and Syrian youth build up new relations on the basis of artistic inspiration.
The first phase is an introduction for a coming step that is planned to uncover three other youth talents for a final contest.
LOST is using all possible means in Baalbeck-Hermel region to defuse tensions that are attributed to the Syrian influx in Lebanon. “Ein Got Talent” is a manifestation of LOST’s efforts and the strong will of its partner, Forum ZFD, to make the area a stable place where talents get the chance to come into view.
