Accidents can happen anytime and anywhere, right when least expected, and probably at the worst possible time. Without someone with proper knowledge in giving Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and immediate medical attention, lives could be lost. For this reason, a CPR training session was conducted at the Community Farm, Baalbeck to let youth improve the survival chances of victims.
CPR helps keep oxygenated blood flowing to the brain and other crucial organs until normal heart rhythm is restored. This is the core reason why investing time in CPR training is extremely beneficial. As the health and safety of people are top priorities, relevant awareness and training sessions like CPR and First Aid need will be continued.
The CPR training comes as a part of the Life Skills 2021 program that aims at empowering youth and creating an atmosphere of social cohesion. The project is implemented in partnership between UNICEF and the Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST), and funded by the German government, the Kingdom of Netherlands, and UK Aid.
