The Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST) organized a graduation ceremony for 151 Lebanese and Syrian students of the BINA’s Vocational Training Center at Tammouz Hall, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
After the national anthem, a video
was displayed, documenting youth experiences at the center with the following professional
specialties: healthcare, hotel and hospitality, sanitary installations,
warehouse management, logistics, electricity and solar energy.
Mr. Tarik Chebli, Director of the
project, stated, “we are a young society. Youth constitute about 63
percent of the total population in our region. This indicates the existing
capabilities that can be employed to advance our society in all fields. Therefore,
the organization conducts these professional courses in order to develop the
capabilities of young people”. He added, “we are not only training the participants,
but we are also working hard to increase their chances of getting a job by
linking them to the labor market or by directing them to entrepreneurship”.
At the end of the ceremony,
certificates were distributed to graduates with a fund of equipment for
outstanding students to help them get started and engage in the labor market.
