The Sphere Project is a voluntary initiative that brings a wide range of humanitarian agencies together around a common aim – to improve the quality of humanitarian assistance and the accountability of humanitarian actors to their constituents, donors and affected populations. The Sphere Handbook, Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Humanitarian Response, is one of the most widely known and internationally recognized sets of common principles and universal minimum standards in life-saving areas of humanitarian response.
As part of its continuous international efforts in this humanitarian direction, Aktion Deutschland Hilft together with Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V., and Johanniter International Assistance happily announce the 5-day Sphere-Training from March 23rd to March 27th, 2020, in Lebanon, Beirut.
This one of a series of Sphere trainings, funded by the Federal Foreign Office in Germany, support capacity sharing and knowledge expansion of the most widely referenced set of humanitarian principles and standards. From this course, participants will gain knowledge and enhance their capacity in promoting and applying Sphere Standards in humanitarian emergency and response.
