Within the framework of the project, “Engaging Syrian and Lebanese Women in Social Stability”, in cooperation with the Government of Canada (GAC), a community project of replacing the water network with a new one was implemented at a vocational school in Baalbeck, ensuring public health and safety.
For this occasion, a ceremony was held at the vocational school, which was attended by the women participating in the project, in which the director, Mr. Mowaffaq Al-Moussawi thanked the Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST) for its valuable contribution, which benefited about 1,500 people, professors, and students.
In his speech, the mayor of Baalbeck, Mr. Hussein Al Lakkis wished to prepare a comprehensive study of the vocational school, in which he mentioned all the professional needs of the level of rehabilitation of the building and the level of academic expertise, in order to improve them.
Dr. Rami Lakkis, founder of LOST, stated that the project is one of ten projects implemented by the organization to improve access to water in 10 towns, adding that the improvement of official institutions stems from the principle of governance that LOST believes in.
